قصيدةً تأملات ...
 
للشاعر الدكتور/ أسامة مصاروه

وهي قصيدة كتبها بالإنجليزيّة وأرسلها إلى رئيس الحكومة الإسرائيلية نتانياهو وكذلك إلى شمعون بيرس رئيس دولة اسرائيل كي يوضح لهما كيف يُبنى السلام الحقيقي وليس الاستسلام الذي يريدانه للعرب.
Contemplations
تأمّلات
I look back and see through the mist
انظر الى الوراء وأرى من خلال الضباب
How a ruthless and angry fist
كيف حطّمت وما زالت تحطم قبضة قاسية وغاضبة
Has been crushing my precious peace
سلامي النفيس
And devouring it piece by piece
وتلتهمه قطعة قطعة
I was born on a land of mine
لقد ولدت في ارضي
Beautiful, splendid and fine
الجميلة, الرائعة والطيبة
But, unfortunately, I am now
لكنني للأسف غريب الآن فيها
A stranger and I don’t know how
ولا اعرف كيف
A citizen of a third rate
لقد اصبحت مواطنًا من الدرجة الثالثة
That’s what I’ve become, what a fate!
يا لسخرية القدر!
A man who is always busted
أصبحت رجلًا يُعتقل
Because he cannot be trusted
لعدم ثقتهم بي
I’m the native of this great land
أنا ابن هذه الأرض العظيمة
Just like its shores and golden sand
تمامًا مثل شواطئها ورملها الذهبي
My rights are elementary
ان حقوقي بديهيّة
Say geography and history
هكذا يقول التاريخ والجغرافيا
It’s my right to grow and prosper
من حقي ان انمو وازدهر
And lead a life nice and proper
واحيا حياة لطيفة ومناسبة
I’m not to be bound and deterred
يجب الّا أُقيّد أو أُمنع
And ultimately be transferred
أو أُهجّر من ارضي في النهاية
I should be allowed to survive
يجب ان يُسمح لي بالبقاء
Live in peace and, hopefully, thrive
والعيش في سلام على أمل ان اتحسن ايضًا
Remember this is also my state too
تذكرْ ان هذه بلدي ايضًا
Whatever you inflict or do
مهما ظلمتني
Compromise is the stepping-stone
ان التنازل حجر نخطو عليه
Toward peace in this, land war-prone
حتى يوصلنا الى السلام في هذه الأرض المشبعة بالحروب
Peace is the greatest gift and grace
ان السلام أعظم هدية ونعمة
That can save us from this war-curse
وهي التي تستطيع انقاذنا من لعنة الحروب هذه
Peace depends on the sanity
يعتمد السلام على عقلانية
Of those who deplore enmity
أولئك الذين يشجبون العداء
And those who have seen so much blood
وأولئك الذين قد شاهدوا دماء كثيرة جدًا
That can begin a second flood
بإمكانها بدء فيضان ثان
Treat the others with the respect
عامل الآخرين بالاحترام
And love you demand and expect
والحب الذين تطلبهما وتتوقعهما منهم
Be curious to learn their culture
كن فضوليًا حتى تتعلم حضارتهم
That adds to the human structure
التي تضيف الى البنية الإنسانية
The world’s full of different colors
ان العالم مليء بالألوان المختلفة
Like a garden full of flowers
كحديقة مليئة بالزهور
O, what a dull and boring place
آه, كم بليدًا ومملًا سيبدو
The world will be with just one race
العالم لو كان ذا لون واحد
Respect every identity
عليكم احترام هوية كل انسان
And every race’s entity
وكيان كل جنس بشري
Don’t hate this or that religion
لا تكرهوا دين احد
Every one has its origin
فللأديان اصولها
If you form the majority
ان كنتم الغالبية في البلاد
Still you are a minority
فما زلتم الأقلية
For it’s a relative matter
لأن المسألة نسبيّة
So think it over, don’t stutter
لذلك فكروا في الأمر ولا تتلعثموا
I’m a man not just blood and flesh
انا انسان لست لحمًا ودما فقط
You can’t treat me just as you wish
عليكم الًا تعاملوني كما تريدون
I’m a man as free as the wind
انا حر كالريح
That all enmities can transcend
التي تتخطى العداوات جميعها
By building barriers and that wall
ببنائكم الحواجز والجدار
Of course peace will eventually fall
ستحطّمون السلام في النهاية
They’ll definitely undermine
لأنها ستحطم قطعيّا
All efforts for peace just and fine
كل الجهود الرامية الى تحقيق سلام عادل وحسن
You need to remove every cuff
عليكم ان تتخلصوا من كل قيد
That hinders peace or such a staff
يعيق تحقيق السلام
Don’t talk about equality
لا تتحدثوا عن المساواة
Do make it a reality
بل اجعلوه حقيقة
you all have to be courageous
عليكم جميعا ان تتحلوا بالشجاعة
To do what’s just and righteous
كي تفعلوا ما هو عادل وصحيح
To no avail is every deed
كل ما ينجب الكراهية
That you do if it hate does breed
لا يجديكم نفعًا
Why is it so easy to hold
لماذا أسهل لكم ان تتمسكوا
Onto prejudices so old ?
بأفكار مسبقة قديمة؟
Why do you stick to a belief
لماذا تلتصقون باعتقاد
That leads to bloodshed and mischief
يقود الى سفك الدماء والضرر؟
Why is it easier to stir
لماذا أسهل لكم ان تثيروا
The inhuman elements’ flare
نار عناصر الشر
Than build up the mutual trust
اكثر من بناء الثقة المتبادلة
Between nations which is a must
بين الشعوب؟ ان هذا واجب عليكم
Why should I prove my loyalty
لماذا علينا ان نبرهن على ولائنا
Every day to the royalty ?
كل يوم لكم؟
Why can’t a citizen pursue
لماذا لا يستطيع المواطن ان يلاحق
His dreams despite what may ensue?
حلمه بالرغم مما قد يأتي لاحقًا
Between the hammer hard and cold
انكم تضعونني
And the anvil you me do hold
بين المطرقة والسندان
Am I guilty of no reason?
هل انا مجرم بدون سبب؟
Is my survival a treason?

هل وجودي خيانة لكم؟
Life by itself is a value
للحياة قيمة بذاتها
Not land or any revenue
لا للأرض ولا للموارد
Love, compassion, and tolerance
الحب والرأفة والتسامح
Are the paths to coexistence
طرق تؤدي للتعايش
Killing and assassinations
القتل والاغتيال
Violence and accusations
العنف والاتهام
Repeatedly reiterated
المتبادل باستمرار
Make me feel so irritated
يغضبني ويستفزني
Your arrogance and vanity
غروركم وكبركم
Won’t make peace a reality
لن يجعلا من السلام حقيقة
It can’t grow and it never will
لن ينمو السلام
As long as you destroy and kill
طالما تقتلون وتدمرون
Peace can’t live and dwell in a swamp
لا يستطيع السلام العيش في مستنقع
Where prejudice does leave its stamp
حيث الأفكار المسبقة تترك ختمها
Peace needs leaders brave and plain
يحتاج السلام الى قادة شجعان وواضحين
Who seek no political gain
لا يبحثون عن مكسب سياسي
Nations can’t live just by the sword
لا تستطيع الشعوب ان تحيا فقط على السيف
However strong they are and bold
مهما يكونون أقوياء وجريئين
Constant wars are to no avail
لن تجدي نفعًا الحروب المستمرة
They only let hatred prevail
انها تخلّد الكراهية
Peace is the key to all conflicts
ان السلام مفتاح لكل الصراعات
War only disasters inflicts
اما الحروب فتترك وراءها الكوارث
There are no winners or losers
في الحرب ليس هناك رابح وخاسر
At war we’re all the abusers
كلنا سيئون في الحروب
Let’s all set up peace high and grand
دعونا ننصب السلام عاليًا وعظيمًا
And not put it down to the ground
ولا نطرحه ارضًا
Narrow mindedness only leads
اصحاب العقول الضيقة يقودون
To destruction and pains it yields
الى الدمار والآلام
It is much wiser not to fall
اكثر حكمة عدم الوقوع في الأخطاء
In faults whether big or so small
سواءًا اكانت كبيرة او صغيرة
Why aren’t you any more thinkers?
لماذا توقفتم عن التفكير
Why can’t we remove your blinkers?
لماذا لا تنزعون غمّاماتكم
How can you get the others’ trust
كيف تستحصلون على ثقة الآخرين
By being unfair and unjust?
بكونكم ظالمين وغير منصفين؟
How can you be safe and secure
كيف ستكونون أمينين ومطمئنين
While the other’s rights are obscure?
بينما حقوق الآخرين غامضة؟
Acts of mutual violence
اعمال العنف المتبادل
Lead to more and more vengeance
يؤدي الى عمليات انتقام اكثر
Compromise, on the other hand
التنازل من الناحية الأخرى
Will make us share this splendid land
يجعلنا نتقاسم هذه الأرض الرائعة
Greatness is the ability
العظمة هي القدرة
To give up one’s hostility
على التخلص من عدائكم
Only just peace can make amends
السلام العادل فقط يصلح الأوضاع
And make previous foes become friends
ويجعل من اعداء الأمس اصدقاء
We need a world of peace and love
نحتاج الى عالم من الحب والسلام
That glitters like the stars above
يتلألأ كالنجوم في السماء
We don’t need the narrow minded
لا نحتاج الى ضيّقي العقول
Who make the world with blood flooded
الذين يغمرون العالم بفيضانات من الدماء
Peace won’t come through a gun’s barrel
لن يأتي السلام من خلال فوّهة البندقيّة
This way you can’t win this battle
هكذا لن تكسبوا المعركة
Peace comes through reconciliation
يأتي السلام من خلال المصالحة
Not through acts of retaliation
وليس من خلال الفعل وردّ الفعل
To make peace a true prophesy
كي تجعلوا السلام نبوءة حقيقيّة
You have to change your policy
عليكم ان تغيّروا سياساتكم
With love, honesty and good will
بالحبّ والصدق والنيّة الحسنة
You can now stop this useless kill
تستطيعون الآن ايقاف هذا القتل العبثي
A ceaseless conflict nothing brings
لن تجنوا شيئًا من صراع متواصل
It will render peace without wings
سيجعل السلام بلا اجنحة
You have to live in harmony
عليكم ان تعيشوا بانسجام
Not in despair and agony
وليس بيأس وألم
It’s the duty of everyone
واجب كل واحد ان يحارب من اجل السلام
To fight for peace not for the gun
وليس من اجل البندقيّة
It’s a pity that the extreme
انه لمن المؤلم ان يصبح المتطرفون قادتكم
If you focus on the welfare
لو تركزون على رفاهية
Of your people not on warfare
امتكم وليس على الحرب
This land will be a better place
هذه الأرض ستكون مكانًا أفضل
In which everyone will live in grace
يعيش عليها كل واحد في نعيم
You can’t be oppressors for long
لن تكونوا قاهرين الى الأبد
Even if you’re now great and strong
مهما تكونون اقوياء حليًا
You can survive by honesty
بالصدق تبقون
As well as thrive by modesty
وبالتواضع تزدهرون
Wars can end everything but hate
الحرب تنهي كل شيء ما عدا الكراهية
Which keeps running deep like one’s fate
التي تستمر بالجريان عميقًا كقدر الإنسان
Mad power is self-destructive
تحطم القوى المجنونة نفسها بنفسها
However, it seems productive
وان تبدو مفيدة
I’m optimistic I confess
اعترف بانني متفائل
No matter how much you oppress
مهما تضطهدونني
I do believe that tomorrow
وأنا أومن بان الغد
Will yield no more pain or sorrow
لن يسبب لنا ألمًا أو حزنًا أكثر
However, it will take some time
ومع ذلك سيحتاج الأمر الى وقت أطول
To get peace precious and sublime
حتى نحصل على السلام النفيس والسامي
Peace will eventually come true
سيتحقق السلام لا محالة
For your own good and mine too
من اجل مصلحتكم ومصلحتنا ايضًا
